Foundation Gifts Visually Impaired Tools To Mark 2022 National Federation Of The Blind White Cane Awareness.

2022 White Cane Awareness Day of the National Federation of the Blind was blissful as Amaka Nweke Foundation ANF gifts a visually impaired person with a white cane to aid his movement in commemoration of the annual event.
The annual white cane awareness day is a day to emphasize the critical role that white cane plays in the lives of blind people and its significance as a tool of independence and equality.

For blind people, the white cane is not merely a stick but an essential tool that gives them the ability to live a full and independent life. White cane allows these people to move freely and safely from one place to another

To mark the 2022 world white cane day, Amaka Nweke Foundation donated white cane to Agaezinna Stanley Ilojeme to enable him move around in safety.
In a statement issued by its Executive Director Amb. Mrs Amaka Nweke JP, she stated that it is one of their objectives to touch the lives of the vulnerable people like the  blind and visually impaired. This day also reminds people about  how the white cane acts as an important tool in helping the blind and the visually impaired live with greater independence and safety. It's a day to let them know that they are loved and cared for.
She said "It is our wish at Amaka Nweke Foundation (ANF) to keep touching the lives of people and to continually lend our voice to their plight. We on this note call on the state governments across Nigeria to pass into law the disability bill to enhance their living and welfare."
In reinstating commitment, member board of trustee Amaka Nweke Foundation(ANF) Mrs Ngozi Obioha-Nkemdirim said the Foundation was ready and committed to partner with the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Enugu State chapter and across Nigeria.
In his statement the Chairman JONAPWD Comrade Onyebuchi Mbah thanked the Foundation for the kind gesture in touching the life of one of their members as this year's white cane day was being celebrated.
The beneficiary, Comrade Agaezinna Stanley Ilojeme, expressed his excitement, stating that it was a big relief for him to receive and use the white cane. He therefore appreciated the organisation for supporting him and making movement an easy one for him.
