IMT Partners With Peter Mbah Students Movement, Donates Billboards, Other Campaign Materials. "We will continue to give every support needed to deliver Peter Mbah as the next Governor of Enugu State"

The Management Team of the Institute Of Management and Technology, IMT Enugu, hosted the prominent Students Support Group for the PDP gubernatorial flagbearer Barr. Peter Mbah, known as "Peter Mbah Students Movement (PMSM)" to discuss partnership arrangements and other strategies of delivering the PDP gubernatorial candidate during the forthcoming general election exercise in 2023. The famous Peter Mbah Students Movement known for voter education and sensitization of the students and general public on the need to vote in Barr. Peter Mbah and his running mate Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai has continued to partner with school managements, communities, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, well meaning individuals and lovers of good governance in the state.

The founder and Director General of the student based political movement Comr Charles Edeh whilst introducing the body to the entire management team of the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, took time to appreciate the rector and the management team of IMT for hosting the leadership of the students movement for Hon Barr Peter Mbah tagged Peter Mbah Students Movement PMSM. He further narrated to the house the origin of the movement and the strides of the students so far in lending their support to the PDP guber candidate Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

The Secretary of the students group, Comr. Nwobodo Chinonso, expressed his happiness to the rector over the hand of fellowship the student community has enjoyed from him ever since his inception as the rector of IMT. He further maintained that the students not only in Enugu but in the entire South East have enjoyed a cordial relationship with the management of the school. Going forward, he made it clear that Hon. Barr Peter Mbah is going to build on the foundations of the current administration in dishing out good governance to Ndi Enugu, Peter Mbah being a man that understands the rudiments of education in every society will redesign the architecture of our educational sector to compete with that of the western world.

The rector of the prestigious institute, Prof. Augustine Uchechukwu Nweze in his response expressed his happiness over the act of state partrotism being displayed by the students under the aegies of PMSM in taking part with the decision making of who governs our beloved state come 2023. He expressed his conviction over the credibility of the movement and it's course hence his approval for the meeting amidst his tight schedule. The Rector of the institution thanked God for the students over their bid not to be used as political thugs or snatchers of ballot box on election days but rather have chosen to take part fully in the legitimate electoral activities that will produce the next governor of the state which includes campaigns, town hall sections, voter education and other election activities.

"I was present during the manifesto presentation of Barr. Peter Mbah and must tell you that it contains everything needed to speedily transform and take Enugu State to the next level. I must tell you that we need Peter Mbah to take over from the current administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for continuity and transformational leadership approach. I must commend you for identifying those values and standing by him, you have given me so much hope in the youths and students community. IMT will continue to give every support needed to deliver Barr. Peter Mbah as the next Governor of Enugu State" Prof. Nweze opined, stressing on the need for the entire youth constituency to borrow a leaf from the students group by embarking on a massive sensitization and voter education activities which remains the only panacea to voter apathy.

In his words "today is the tomorrow we were afraid of yesterday" moving from the known to the unknown'. He further emphasized on the fact that the existence of the management till date is due to the presence of students in the institution. The rector also stated that IMT and the entire management will support the PDP guber candidate whilst encouraging the students to continue with the good work they are doing.

In his advice to the students, he stressed on the need for students to go pick up their voters card as it is our greatest weapon of use come 2023.

Prof. Nweze graciously appreciated the administration of the most youth and student friendly governor His Excellency Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi CON for his love and numerous support to the school ever since his inception as the governor of Enugu State, This is evidently seen in the rehabilitation of the School administrative block roof, the mass communication building, the school medical center, construction of internal roads and also the availability of funds for the accreditation of programs offered by the institution.

In conclusion Prof. Nweze pledged his total support to the movement with humble donations of bill boards and other campaign materials to support the efforts of the students.

The deputy rector of IMT, Engr, Sunday Udeh, appreciated the indefatigable efforts of the students under the aegis of PMSM in taking a lead to decide who governs them in the state come 2023. He further encouraged the students to keep up with the good work for the future is bright. He advised that the students should take this ample opportunity to mentally liberate their colleagues on issues bothering on political participation. He thanked the students for coming out in their numbèrs to support the ambition of Peter Mbah and Ossai on becoming the Governor of Enugu State come 2023.

Amidst tears of joy, the registrar of IMT, Dr. Mrs Ijeoma C Aneke thanked God that the students have woken up to take part in the nation building of our dear state through their support to Barr. Peter Mbah having accessed his pedigree. She encouraged the students not to relent in their support with a hope that we will get our desired Enugu State at last.

In his vote of thanks, the SUG President of University Of Nigeria Enugu Campus UNEC, Comr. Arthur Idoko thanked the IMT Management for their support to students activities in the state and South East in extension, commending the humility, kind-heartedness of the rector of IMT towards the students, termed him "the father of all students in the entire South East.

In their separate speeches, Comr. Eze Emmanuel, Igboeli Ken, Comr. Tochukwu Nwodo, Comr. Adiegwu Jeremiah, Comr. Nnaemeka Nwodo appreciated the IMT Management team, the principal officers of PMSM and all students present at the meeting for their efforts so far and commitment to the sole mandate of the students group.
